PRIMARY FEATURE SUMMARY
One of our three all-purpose backpacking models, this workhorse is designed for almost any backcountry activity, from on-trail hiking to the most demanding off-trail and all-season environments. Primary features include:
- Identical to Southwest/Junction but with mesh exterior pockets
- Two over the pocket compression straps for load security
- D-shaped flat bottom keeps pack upright while loading/unloading
- Roll-top closure with internal mesh sleeve & hydroport
- White pack is 50-denier DCH fabric, Black pack is 150-denier

Still in love after 5 (6?) years together ❤️
Best purchase of my LIFE. Wish this could be shrunken down to a 20 L size for day trips. (Can it?) Everything is right where I need it, the hipbelt pockets are roomy and reachable - and I can also reach my side pockets. (I’m 5’ tall and have short arms!), I can fit a whole-*** bear can in it (don’t like it on the top of the pack) and it is COMFORTABLE.
Just buy it if you’re on the fence 👍
It is expensive, but it is SO worth it. I am rough on my gear and have had zero issues. Except for where a chipmunk chewed a hole in on of my hipbelt pockets.
Also - paired with a Nylofume liner, my down quilts have stayed dry in some of the worst thunderstorms I had no business hiking in :)

I bought it after seeing many Japanese campers and hikers using it.
It was a good product that lived up to the reviews.
I use it for camping, so I'd like to be more creative with my packing.
Waited for the best
Jist got it...already has 50 AT miles on it and I LOVE IT!!! Rides well on my back...my carry weight is around 23lbs and I didnt feel any discomfort anywhere after a 25 mile day. The only things I found not perfect was tightening of the hip belt sucks and the hip pockets would not convenient to get in and out of . Overall....I LOVE IT

This pack was perfect for two weeks on the Portuguese Camino De Santiago and for the time kicking around Europe before and after. I plan to take it again this year.
