Excellent Alternative to Trekking Poles
There are many times I find myself without the need for trekking poles (I.e., kayaking, canoeing, motorcycle trips). Now I have the perfect pole to round out my perfect tent.

Incredible
Purchased the fiber pole along with the Ultamid 4. Initial/first setup was extremely easy with this pole. Easily adjustable, super light weight and takes up little room on the side of my pack. Buy it, you won't regret the purchase.

It’s a great pole

High quality product and very lightweight. I got this for my Ultamid 2 because I like to have my tracking poles available after I’ve set up camp. The adjustable base allows you to get the height you need when pitching in a tricky spot. Good job guys

Ultamid Fiber poles

lightweight with elastic cord for easy folding and packing. Worked great with the Ultamid 2 tent on a three day adventure.

Tolerances are too loose

The general design of the pole is simple, and the extension tube is sensible, but the tolerances of the tubes are far too loose. When the sections of the pole are fitted together there’s too much play. Once assembled no matter how much downward pressure there is from the top of the tent the pole moves well over a centimeter from left to right which will cause the tent to move around in the wind and the pole to make noise. Trekking poles strapped together create a much sturdier solution than this if done correctly but of course the idea is to not have to use trekking poles. We need tighter tolerances at the tube junctures. Disappointed.

Sections fit together poorly and it wobbles and rattles when setup.

This is a 10.67 oz/ 302.6 gm, 0.7445" diameter Carbon fiber center tent pole for an Ultamid 4 tent, its light, compact and easy to setup. The issue is poor build quality due to imprecise tolerances in the coupling of sections, there is way too much clearance/ slop and the pole wobbles and rattles when setup. This is our second Ultamid, the first pole was made by Ruta Locura , which had a much better build quality and was lighter per linear inch at larger diameter of 0.8375".

Also note: The pole is really only adjustable between 72" and 79", when setup but fully collapsed to the end cap the pole is 67", which is too short and the tent sags, so you have to extend it to the first set point which is at 72", thereby lifting the edges of the tent up off the ground about an inch. It would be more usable if this pole was adjustable from say 70" to 79" so it could sit tighter to the ground if needed.

Our Ultamid 4 tent height is 71" when setup taught and all edges just barely touch the ground.
