Product Reviews and Questions
First impression
- great product, super well sewn at the edges. The 8 x 10 will give you cavernous room and protection.
My experience at buying time was VERY SATISFYING.
The only knock is the same one everyone talks about - the guy lines provided are good quality but really lacking on the precut lengths. You have to get guy lines that work very specifically for the lineloc 3 and to get them the right lengths (whatever that is). Very pleased with the product, yes its worth the money - I'll follow up after my first trip next week. cheers all
PS the ease of difficulty setting up just takes practice and then its awesome and easy
Flat tarp
Lightweight, sturdy and worth every penny
I Like It
Very good flat tarp
Excellent experience
Returned from 8 days in Colorado. Tarp kept the sun away at lunch and the rain in the afternoon and night! Definitely worth the expense!
Not my first tarp...
The size and design of this tarp is quite different than previous tarps I have used, and why i bought it. I love the size and the number of tie-outs, however, I do not like the sewn in tensioners. If you want to do any other setup than what you last used, you must either unthread the ridge length lines and rethread to where you want them OR make all the lines really long. I personally prefer beasty-D tieouts and simply larks head and truckers hitch for faster swapping. I also dont care for the precut lines it came with, the 4' sides and 6' ridge lines were too short at the ridge for versitile setups and the sides were too long for most setups (except hammocks). If your only setup want is A frame based, then you are good to go out of the box! I would prefer no lines with the tarp and drop the price. Overall, this tarp is still worth the price and changing out or the lines is not a big deal. In my picture I have already changed out the ridgeline. In that configuration, it will easily sleep two tall people and all thier gear with tons of storm coverage.
P.S. the reinforcement added for the Echo insert is perfect for the setup pictured.
