I have used blackhawk, camelback, Kelty and others over the years, the Hyperlite exceeds the performance of all of them by a good margin. Really wanted to upgrade to something water proof so I got the junction. I have since done several big peak ascents in Colorado using this pack. I love the light weight and water proof construction. This pack is very comfortable for the long haul too, hitting some trips in the thirty mile range.
I bought the 3400 Junction for my recent thru hike of the Superior Hiking Trail. This pack did not disappoint. It held my 14 pound base weight plus 3-4 days of food like a champ and rode so balanced on my hips and shoulders. My knees were grateful for such a light pack as well. Everything on the inside stayed dry on the few days of rain I had and even a few scuffs against some fallen trees didn’t damage the pack. It may take a few washes to get the mud and blood off of parts of it, but it only adds character of it doesn’t come out.
After unboxing, I couldn’t believe how light it was and how spacious the 3400 really is. And I love how it can roll down to a much smaller size if there are days you want to carry less. I’ve taken it out a few times and it has held up nicely and surprisingly comfortable with how light it is. I can confidently say I will be using this bag for a very long time.
I am very impressed with the quality of workmanship that has gone into this pack. I was a little worried about how DCF would work as a pack material but I was reassured when it arrived. It’s a tank! I took my Junction hiking with a 13kg load (including food, water and fuel) and found the pack to carry that weight very comfortably. I didn’t miss not having load lifters. I love this pack.

Suggested Use: Bring organizational ingenuity to the insides of our popular packs. Packable, stackable, and some might even say adorable, but when it comes to organization and increased efficiency in the backcountry, our Pods are all business.
Suggested Use: Our take on the timeless fanny pack, with a focus on ultralight weight and versatility. The Versa takes the fanny pack into the 21st Century. Insanely light, modular, and hard to live without.
