OUR CLOSE QUARTERS TRAIL PACK

The 2400 Southwest keeps you honest about packing smart and efficiently on weekend or section hikes where the supplies you may need to replace along the way are never too far out of reach.

When the route is thick with vegetation, requires the occasional up and over immovable objects, and calls for “suck in your gut and shimmy through” type moves, the Southwest is the backpack you want up-close and personal. This pack family is made specifically for tough adventures that would rip most other ultralight-style packs to shreds.

I love it

I was skeptical that I could do without pockets but I've hiked a few times with my new pack and I love it! super light, super durable, well thought out, comfortable to wear, generous hip pockets, awesome straps. I carried 3 liters of water up Mt. Madison today with rain gear and barely noticed my pack. Tons of room. Love the dynema pockets on the outside - they are super roomy. My new favorite pack!

2400 Southwest size large

Very well made. I've only had it long enough to go on a long day hike, which is my primary use for this pack. It gives me plenty of room for extra clothing & gear during the winter months. Very comfortable to carry, but so far I haven't had more than 15 pounds in it. I doubt that I will go over 20. It suits my

needs perfectly...seems to just float on my back...no strain at all. I really like the simplicity...not a lot of straps & adjustments.

First trip with my Hyperlite

I just finished a 26 mile through hike on the north country trail in northwestern Pennsylvania with my mother! The pack was absolutely perfect in size, weight, and comfort. Thanks for the awesome gear!

So light and comfortable!

I am heading to the Smokies this Thursday for a 4 day backpacking trip and needed something lighter than my current pack, which was 5#. My daughter had purchased one and really liked it, so I got one also. I have it packed to about 18# and have been taking some hikes to try it out and get a little conditioning in. It is so compact and love not having a lot of pockets for my stuff to get lost in. I still have room for additional gear that I need to carry for the group. I did rig up a way to have a water flask attached to the shoulder strap so I could drink hands free. That would be a great add on for the company to consider as it is hard to reach a bottle and return it in the back/side pocket.
