The Junction, like the Windrider and Southwest, represents our vision of a versatile, adaptable, and capable tool for nearly any adventure. Since its introduction over seven years ago, countless backpackers have seen and done it all with theirs. The Junction’s main pack body is built with a new, fully woven Dyneema® 200-denier fabric that offers more durability than ever before with the same signature lightweight and 100% waterproof qualities that have made Dyneema our primary material choice from the beginning. With two solid-fabric side exterior pockets that offer added protection for whatever’s inside and a center mesh pocket for visibility and drying wet gear, the Junction is a comfortable pack that delivers premium performance wherever you’re headed.

- The new Dyneema® Woven Composite 3.9 combines the light weight of Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 3.8 with durability and abrasion resistance that surpasses even the heavier Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 5.9.
- Redesigned shoulder straps and a sewn-through back panel provide a more comfortable and secure fit, with better weight distribution and less wear over time.
- Redesigned outside pockets with more depth, lower back edges for easier access to water bottles, and improved security for gear (like the ice axe) make packing and accessing items more convenient.

By far the most comfortable pack I have every used! I purchased the Large size Junction 55L in black in April 2024, but had a foot injury on the Superior Hiking Trail before I had a chance to use it. My son used this a couple times while I was recovering. I found it difficult to wrestle it away from him when I was finally able to get back on the trail over a year later. It didn't take long to understand his level of enthusiasm. This has proven to be more durable than any of my other packs that all weigh at least 2-3 times as much. I am 50 y.o., 165 lbs with a wiry 6'1" build. I tend to carry around 19.5 lbs including food and fuel for week long trip. I have always had trouble getting a pack to comfortably fit my torso and stay securely in place. I have now carried my Junction pack over 50+ miles each on the Superior Hiking Trail and in the Porkies of the U.P. This pack stayed securely in place while still allowing ample range of motion and chest expansion, even while traversing steep rocky terrain or rock hopping across moving water. The shoulder and chest straps were amazingly comfortable. I was skeptical about the lack of load lifter straps, but found that I did not miss them at all. The hip belt was very comfortable and fit my body shape perfectly. The external mesh pouches are very durable, plenty large enough and worked great for drying wet gear. I did find it difficult to access a water bottle from either of the lateral mesh pouches, but this was a minor hassle. My…

My only feedback is my disappointment that I bought the pack on cyber Monday, anticipating a good deal, only to get emails a week later with much larger savings and additional items being included along with a purchase of the very pack I got. I’ll love this pack I know, but will likely advise others to wait in their purchase next year.

6’1”, 170. Received my pack a few weeks ago. First impression, black is the new white! It looks so sharp. What I like even more is the build quality. This thing looks like it could possibly be indestructible. Ok, perhaps almost. With a full 20+ load it is very comfortable. Going on my first overnight in early Dec, can’t wait!
