4400 Porter
$395.00
Make a big plan, and then go bigger with the 4400 Porter. For four-season missions where resupply points are less frequent, and bulkier gear or equipment is required, the 4400 can carry it all. Ideal for four-season, weekend, section, or thru hikes where resupply points are less frequent and/or bulkier cold weather gear is required.
We designed the Porter for the expert ultralight backpacker or climber who moves fast, goes far and travels light. It’s ideal for shorter-duration adventures, where you’re sharing gear with your partner. Made from 100% waterproof Dyneema® Composite Fabrics (formerly Cuben Fiber), this backpack is highly durable and weatherproof. Use it with our Stuff Sacks for a nearly perfect waterproof kit.

Our Gear's Got Stories, Ultralight Backpacking

Rad backpack!
Used it once on a 4-day packrafting loop in Canyonlands. This pack is awesome! Comfortable, lightweight, tough, and very well thought out. Nice work Hyperlite!

Freaking awesome!
Porter 4400
This is the third backpack I have purchased from hyperlite and would rate all three 5 stars!
Superlight, supertough
I am notorious In that no gear lasts more than few seasons. HMG gear is an exception. Very sturdy backback with lots of opportunities to attach gear outside the pack. Older I get, the more appreciate light weight, and I don’t think it can go any lighter than Porter pack. If you need lightweight with high durability, this is your bag.
Great for pakrafting
For those who do not have Tzip in their boat this is the pack for you. Comfortable, decently waterproof (in my opinion watersheds are the only real dry bag), and practical. Plan on figuring out a snack and water plan as their is no hole for a bladder tube.
And hyperlite if you are reading please sew in a rubberized matieral at the end of the roll top. This would keep more water out for us boaters.
