OUR ORIGINAL BACKPACKING PACK

The 2400 Windrider is the pack that super-efficient thru hikers and backpackers graduate down to when their kits are dialed, and the calories and fuel they need along the way are never too hard to find. Ideal for weekend or section hikes where frequent resupply points are available.

There’s a kind of classic image that comes to mind when you hear the word “hiking.” Dense green and brown forests with meandering rugged root-strewn trails lead to awe-inspiring hill and mountain panoramas, and rivers and streams lull tired explorers to sleep at the end or strenuous but rewarding days.

Perfect for those perpetually wet environments

This is as well made and light weight as all the Hyperlite gear, but the 'dry bag' closure for the top makes this perfect for those wet environments that seem to crush other products.

THE WINDRIDER

This is very tough durable and sexy looking pack. After a fair few miles it still is as good as new. Comfortable weight bearing hip belt and shoulder straps that fit body contours like a glove.

A lot of hours of thought have gone into the design of this pack and it’s more obvious the more mile you put in with it. As someone said to me this is the Patel Philippe of outdoor gear.

Hands down best pack I've ever owned.

Overall the best pack I've ever purchased. Very strong, durable, lightweight material, I'm anticipating years of heavy use won't phase this pack. I found hyperlite after a cheap lightweight pack I purchased began to fall apart after less than 100 miles. I'd so much rather pay a little more for rugged gear than skimp and be frustrated with cheap junk! Will review again after more use (it's winter now and I'm in college).

Love the simplicity and the outside pockets. Big fan of the pod system too.

I love how it go from being a long haul backpack to a lightweight daypack. Both work very well for me.

Thank you.
