Awesome Duffel!!
I fell in love with this bag before I even bought it....so much so that I emailed HMG regularly for the entire time it was "discontinued" and I was ecstatic when I got the notification it was back. Well...I ordered it, and let me tell you what....I was more impressed with it, than I thought I would be. Single best duffel I have ever purchased. Ready to use it on some BIG mountains soon!

The best duffel ever is back!
Years ago mine was stolen and I haven't been able to find or get a replacement made since. (HMG staff has been very patiently telling me "no" every 6 months for the last 3 years.)
So image when my excitement when I got the notification this was back in stock. Less than 60 seconds later, I completed my order.
Let me tell you about this bag:
You can probably fit in it.
It will fit all your gear. Now, hang on, you may think what I just said was, "it fits a lot of gear." That's not what I said. It will fit *all* your gear.
There is nothing else in this weight class that you can leave at base camp during extended winter expeditions with all the stuff you need to, for example, change into regular people clothes/gear and shower so you can return to civilization.
So my Daybreak, regular people shoes, etc. all fit in this bag while I'm out in the wilderness. Then when I'm back a week or two later, my Porter, snowshoes, etc all go back in it. The convenience of everything in a single bag cannot be overstated.
It's the perfect size to put in a winter sled. The gear loops on the side are perfect for attaching and securing it.
You don't strictly need a cover for your sled to keep snow out if you have an ultralight sled such as a rollable UHMWPE (dyeema material) that can confirm to the shape of the bag and whatever is in it. Whatever snow melts on top of it will not saturate the bag or get into the interior.
