Practical luxury
I've grown to love my stuff sack pillow over the past three years now as I used it on numerous thru-hikes; walking over total 3500 kms and more than 100 days. I keep my puffy, wool gloves, beanie etc. inside it and at the absolute top of my pack (I often walk during winter so my puffy is first think on in camp and last thing off). It has never failed to keep these important items dry and I love being able to reverse the sack and use it as a soft comfy pillow at night (I generally stuff my puffy back into it when I get into my quilt). It's a little bit of luxury in a very practical container!
During my first 1200 km thru-hike using the stuff sack pillow, the pillow fleece stitching came out on one side due to a manufacturing fault. I sent pics to HMG and they promptly sent me a new one with absolutely no hassle or fuss. Great customer service!
My Sleep Kit Is Now Complete
Hyperlite ups the ante with this sleek and dual purpose stuff sack. Keep your extra (clothing) layers in it and it is reversible to reveal a very soft Polartec lining. Very minimal weight penalty. I like using this as my "pillow" instead of an inflatable pillow or ordinary stuff sack because of the feel of the lining, dual purpose nature, waterproof Dyneema fabric protects my clothes, and it "feels" like my pillows back home in my bed!
