Our preferred pack for backpacking in open, wet and wooded trails.
OUR ORIGINAL BACKPACKING PACK

The 2400 Windrider is the pack that super-efficient thru hikers and backpackers graduate down to when their kits are dialed, and the calories and fuel they need along the way are never too hard to find. Ideal for weekend or section hikes where frequent resupply points are available.

There’s a kind of classic image that comes to mind when you hear the word “hiking.” Dense green and brown forests with meandering rugged root-strewn trails lead to awe-inspiring hill and mountain panoramas, and rivers and streams lull tired explorers to sleep at the end or strenuous but rewarding days. These are the environments where the Windrider takes flight.

Excellent packs. Shady company.

The products are great - packs & groundcloths. As you can tell from the self glorifying blogs - this company has some problems. They aren't afraid to charge top dollar, but good luck getting your order. I've put in two orders this summer. Neither arrived when it was supposed to and neither order was correct. They don't have a customer service department out of sheer greed. The website is all bells and whistles, until you want your product in under 3 months after ordering or need help. Then it's crickets. I'm still waiting for an order I placed months ago that Hyperlite is telling me already came. It didn't and USPS sent me an email today stating Hyperlite is lying.

It's also interesting to read blogs about how persons hiking the AT felt 'better than the people' in the towns they were passing through because they were dirty (or had a camera). This type of attitude is toxic for the outdoors. Most persons have gratitude and peace in nature - not fluffed up egos rooted in insecurity. Hyperlite, enough trying to be cute. Your business is suffering and your treating customers poorly. 9/14/21

It' the one young jedi!!

I have used this pack on numerous 7 day adventures and I couldn't imagine another pack. The description hyperlite gives is perfect, if you have your food and gear dialed in then this is the perfect pack. The outer mesh pockets are in my opinion way more useful then the other models. You can stuff more I to them since they stretch out and also offers the option to start the drying process of certain items after a long wet night. The dyneema fabric keeps your belongings dry during the heaviest of rain storms, while also maintaining dryness from sweat on a hot day on trail. We call them trash bags with straps, and I couldn't imagine any other pack. I'm hyperlite for life! If you buy this pack look into there pack pods and pillow it will change your load set up for the better. I could go on and on but no reason. There isn't a negative review because it's impossible!! If your on the fence or ready to go ul then buy this pack
