Backpack Strap Overview

Our Customer Service Rep Tyson walks you through the compression straps found on our Windrider, Southwest, Junction, and NorthRim packs.

With the roll-top opening, you have the option of rolling it closed and joining the side buckles in the middle. That frees up the first set of side compression straps to attach larger items to your pack's outside. Or, connect the roll-top side buckles to the first set of compression straps to make your bag smaller overall, while also freeing up the Y-strap at the top of the pack for an accordion-style sleep pad, ropes, wet clothes, a baguette – you name it.  The next two sets of compression straps are used to draw in the contents of the pockets for added security and a nice, compact, and wiggle-free ride. All the straps tout maximum versatility and Tyson demonstrates how.
