AERO 28
Hyperlite Mountain Gear is not about bells and whistles, nonessential features, or the latest trending colors. We manufacture stripped down, high performance gear that’s been dialed in to meet, in as minimalist a manner as possible, the exacting requirements of the people who use it.
SEND IT PRIORITY
The Aero 28 was developed in collaboration with ultra-runner and survivalist, Matt Graham. It is a fastpacking pack built for fast and light objectives where big miles come day after day. It meets the demands of users with a very dialed overnight kit who want to add speed and distance to their backcountry endeavors.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Periodically check your backpack fabric, pockets, straps, clips, and adjusters for signs of stress or tears and repair any damage before continued use.
The Aero 28 is an ultralight pack designed for fastpacking, fast and light adventures, thru hiking, and weekend backpacking.
The Aero 28 is NOT a dry bag. Take precautions to prevent gear from getting wet.
Take the time on a dry, sunny day to spot-clean any areas that need it. A soft damp cloth and a mild soap (non-detergent and non-oil based soaps work well, do not bleach). Air-dry your pack by leaving it out to hang-dry. Make sure your pack is completely dry before long term storage.

BEST PRACTICES
The roll top design provides excellent compaction and watertightness. For the best fit and most comfort, pack organization is key. For best results:
- Place your sleep system at the bottom, creating a flat structure against the back with your sleeping pad and quilt.
- Load your food bag and heavier items on top of your closed off sleep system.
- Stack your shelter and quick-grab items on the top.
- The external pockets can be used to store additional gear (rain layers, ground sheet, water filtration, etc.)
FINE TUNING
HIP BELT REMOVAL
To remove this hip belt, grab the main part of the webbing and slowly push it back through the loop to loosen it until you can pull the whole strap through and off.
SAFETY
Avoid campsites that present the possibility of avalanches, falling rocks or tree limbs, flash floods, lightning strikes, strong winds, and other potential hazards to reduce the risk of damage or injury.
- This backpack is not a toy. To prevent the danger of choking or suffocation, keep this bag away from babies and children.
- This backpack is not fireproof. Keep your bag away from all open flames and heat sources to prevent the possibility of melting or burns from sparks and falling embers.
- Familiarize yourself with the different adjustments to maximize comfort, so you can stay focused on your next adventure.
