Product Reviews and Questions
This is the masterpiece.
I use it conveniently in my daily life. Having a PC sleeve makes it very user-friendly, not only allowing smooth insertion and removal of the PC but also preventing the contents inside the compartment from scattering. The two side pockets and front pocket allow easy storage of wet towels or condensing drink bottles without any concerns, eliminating stress. I also appreciate the capacity of the main compartment. Although it is officially stated as 17 liters, it feels more like 27 liters in reality.
The robust feel of the 150D fabric is impressive, and the actual weight of 580g, considering the meticulous design, is undoubtedly "light." Interestingly, I also use the "STUFF PACK 30" in my daily life. When using it, I additionally purchased an inner PC sleeve, but using the "DAYBREAK 17" on its own feels lighter. The compactness of the "STUFF PACK 30" when folded makes it an essential companion for travel. I consider it another masterpiece.
Awesome! Perfect!
Excellent!
My goto pack for day hikes and travel
Just gout back from a whirlwind two week trip to Argentina. I used the pack for carry on on the planes and for hiking around Cordoba, Yacanto and Bariloche. Inside was my camera, food, light jacket, tarp, essential, while big water bottles and hiking poles attached to pockets and straps on the outside. This pack gets better with time. Love that I now have a light coating of Patagonia region sand and dust all over it. I think this is my lifetime pack and envision having it and putting it through heavy treks for years.
So nice
I use it for short treks where I don't have much luggage. It's easy to use and is my new favorite.
Great Long Day Pack!
The HMG Daybreak 17 offers an exceptional blend of weight saving, durability, and storage/organization options making for a killer day pack. I have used this pack now for a few months on over a dozen, 5+ mile day hikes with no complaints whatsoever. I am able to carry a top layer in case the weather changes, gloves, hats, 2 Liters of water, some snacks, a small boo-boo kit, toilet kit, dog items, etc. which with the low weight of the pack, stays under 10#. The external stuff pouch is great for hats, gloves, snacks, and other items that you want quick access to or that come on and off during the trip. Adding items to this pouch does not impede too much on the internal space either. The two water bottle pockets are perfect for Nalgene's or smart water bottles. The small zipper internal pocket stores my keys and wallet while the "hydration" sleeve works great for small organizer pouches. Overall a great bag with ~50-75 miles now on trail. I look forward to seeing the durability of the fabric and stitching long term as I am not super delicate with my gear! Next up is the Southwest 40! Size options when I purchased were not available. I'm 5'11, wide shoulders, wear a XL-XXL t-shirt depending on brand, and the one size fits all option works with a bit of room to spare.
