Our preferred pack for backpacking in any environment, built for varied environments.
OUR MOST VERSATILE, LONG TRAIL PACK

The versatile 3400 Junction allows you to keep your options open when it comes to packing for a big weekend, multi-day section hikes, thru hikes, or to meet the gear demands of changing seasons and environments. Ideal when resupply points are less frequent and/or for equipment flexibility is needed. When the extra volume is not in use, the 3400’s top can roll down enough to make the overall size of the pack similar to the 2400, but that additional space can come in pretty handy when you need it.

For hikes measured more by changes in climate zones and geographical features than distance, the Junction offers the ultimate versatility required to meet those demands.

Exactly what I needed

Awesome pack. Surprised at how comfortable the pack is actually considering the minimal framing. It’s the most comfortable pack I have. I love the hip belt pockets- you can stash a load of stuff inside. I love the simplicity of the bag, 1 inner main compartment and the 2 sides and outter mesh pocket make organizing simple. I went on a winter trip and it was a dry area- loaded up at 33 lbs and had no issues with discomfort.

I’m 5 foot and have a small Junction. Size 27 waist and the chest strap could be tighter for me. It can not get smaller since it’s pulled tight all the way.

I do worry about the stitching at the straps sometimes with heavier loads. I’m interested to see in how they hold up. Sometimes it looks as though they are stressed with 28 lbs in the pack.

The front mesh is not as strong as I thought it would be. It becomes fuzzy after normal rubbing..I sometimes wish I got the all dyneema pockets instead. It’s the only part of the bag I feel I need to take special care too. I also worry for the front mesh when I lay my pack down when I go to rest/take a break. I worry the rocks will cause the mesh to tear or the bushes/tree branches.

Overall great bag. I would reccomend.

Exactly what I was looking for

Pack arrived shortly after I ordered it and after unpacking and looking at all the straps and belts I packed it with my gear about 5 times, rearranging it and really like the results. The pack is solid and fits well. Haven't had the opportunity to backpack with it yet, but I have a few shakedown hikes planned over the holidays. Great price for a well made pack. Thanks guys.

The Best

Bought my wife a Junction 3400 because she was jealous of my Windrider 3400. The lightness, near waterproofness and comfort for such a light pack are hard to resist. The build quality is impeccable. Special thanks for those folks working hard to create a wonderful product. Worth every cent and built in the USA!!!
