Great pack
Love the pack. There are so many pros. It is my favorite piece of gear. If I were to suggest something to improve on. Change the outter mesh pocket to a more stretchy mesh. Also, upon 1st inspection there was dozens of loose thread ends. I spent about an hour trimming and melting thread ends on the pack.
This is a superb pack.
This is a superb pack. Incredibly comfy shoulder straps and hefty, well-fitting hip belt. Not the lightest compared to other UL pack, much comfier, and bigger- I could carry heavy loads with this for sure. Love the simple design and pocket layout. I found it comfier without the internal metal straps, fortunately they are removable! The pack is fatter than I would like, shape wise (I am a very small person so it rides less well), but this isn't a big deal. The design of the top-loading y-strap is ....odd? The only reason I returned this I just don't need a pack this big. 28L is a perfect size for me. If I ever get into sports that require me to carry heavier and larger loads, I will definitely buy this pack. Have been recommending it to all my friends.
Hands down best UL backpack
Hands down best UL backpack out there. Durable, simple, superior. The specs speak for themselves. Compared to all others in its class the Junction 2400 is clearly the best choice.
I highly recommend it!
Great Pack if You're Packing Light
Customer service was great - very responsive, helpful, and friendly. The bag was comfortable and I was able to carry all of my gear and food in a bear canister for two nights within the bag. I also had cold weather gear so was pleased it could hold everything.
I especially like the exterior side pockets - perfect for tent and trekking poles. The larger mesh pocket on the back I liked because I could see and therefore easily find what I needed (headlamp, for example). The hip pockets fit trail bars and my iphone (11) perfectly. I'm not sure if it's designed for this, but the elastic band on the right shoulder strap holds the Garmin InReach perfectly with even an adjacent loop above for the carabiner to attach to.
I went slightly larger on the size and that worked out well. The only thing that didn't work out on this trip was the right hip belt rubbed me the wrong way. I'll have to see how that goes.
Bottom line, the pack lived up to my high expectations in most every way.
Everything you need, nothing you don't
This is the perfect pack for me! I have used an Ospery for years, they are a great pack for some, but I hated how bulky and complicated they were! I went on a trip with a friend who had a hyperlite and I fell in love with it. Simple, functional, comfortable, and waterproof, what more could a girl need! I love this pack and recommend to anyone in the market for an upgrade :)
