OUR CLOSE QUARTERS TRAIL PACK

The 2400 Southwest keeps you honest about packing smart and efficiently on weekend or section hikes where the supplies you may need to replace along the way are never too far out of reach.

When the route is thick with vegetation, requires the occasional up and over immovable objects, and calls for “suck in your gut and shimmy through” type moves, the Southwest is the backpack you want up-close and personal. This pack family is made specifically for tough adventures that would rip most other ultralight-style packs to shreds.

Great Pack

I just spent 5 days hiking through Yellowstone with this pack and it exceeded my expectations. I even left it out in the rain overnight, hanging on a bear pole. Everything in the main compartment was dry in the morning.

When you find the one…. Lol

I have taken this pack for a day hike to a 4 night backpacking at 4 pass loop and I have to say, it has met all my expectations. It rained while at was backpacking and everything in the pack stayed dry! I was able to fit my BV450. My pack was about 28 lbs and it felt comfortable. Now, the only issue I had was that I had a hard time reaching for my bottle, good thing I decided to bring my water bladder..

Beartooth Bomb Proof

I bought this backpack in large/black for a 4-day, 30 mile (with side trips) thru hike in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in Montana. I knew that there’d be a good chance of rain and maybe even snow while hiking here at the end of August 2021. We had one afternoon and evening of intermittent rain showers and the backpack was bone dry inside. Mother Nature unleashed on us during the early morning hours of day two. Multiple thunderstorms rolled through and we woke up to an inch of snow. I opted to use a Hyperlite roll-top stuff sack and pods inside the backpack to keep things dry and organized. I was never a minimalist backpacker until I underwent lumbar fusion surgery. Hyperlite Dyneema hits the perfect junction of durable, lightweight, and waterproof, while Hyperlite’s superior design and quality construction make this my new favorite backpack.
