Awesome Backpack
Having started backpacking/hiking in my later years. I first saw Hyperlite Gear a few years ago and said: wow expensive, why would someone spend so much on a backpack, well now I know. You literally get what you pay for. I’ve had Osprey, Gossamer Gear, and Lite AF backpacks and each brings something to the table but in my opinion, Hyperlite is the winner. The craftsmanship, durability, and detail (even the zipper pulls) are second to none.
So far I have taken my 2400 Junction paired with the Versa and shoulder pocket on hikes totaling about 60 km, with a base weight of 12 to 15 pounds and the fit and comfort have been excellent.
I have completed 4 Camino’s, three in Europe and one in Brazil and look forward to future Camino’s with my new Hyperlite gear. And yes, Hyperlite gear is made in the USA 🇺🇸 not outsourced!
Awesome Pack
I have had a HMG Junction for two years now, since it first came out. To put it plainly, this pack is awesome. It’s light. It looks good. It’s really comfortable. It’s very functional (especially with pods). And it’s held up extremely well under heavy use. Get this pack. You won’t be disappointed.
So Comfortable!
I switched from a heavy Osprey to the 2400 Junction when I finally dialed my gear in. This pack performed amazingly on my last section hike! Fit like a glove and moved with me, I loved it. In hindsight I should have maybe got the 3400, because this pack loaded with all my gear and seven days of food barely closed. Other than that I had no issues with this pack, would recommend it to anyone! I cant wait to be out on the trail again with it!
Great pack
Love the pack. There are so many pros. It is my favorite piece of gear. If I were to suggest something to improve on. Change the outter mesh pocket to a more stretchy mesh. Also, upon 1st inspection there was dozens of loose thread ends. I spent about an hour trimming and melting thread ends on the pack.
This is a superb pack.
This is a superb pack. Incredibly comfy shoulder straps and hefty, well-fitting hip belt. Not the lightest compared to other UL pack, much comfier, and bigger- I could carry heavy loads with this for sure. Love the simple design and pocket layout. I found it comfier without the internal metal straps, fortunately they are removable! The pack is fatter than I would like, shape wise (I am a very small person so it rides less well), but this isn't a big deal. The design of the top-loading y-strap is ....odd? The only reason I returned this I just don't need a pack this big. 28L is a perfect size for me. If I ever get into sports that require me to carry heavier and larger loads, I will definitely buy this pack. Have been recommending it to all my friends.
