A BARRIER FOR BUGS & MOISTURE
The UltaMid 4 Half Insert creates a barrier against bugs and moisture for two people inside the UltaMid 4 Shelter, so a restful night of sleep is more likely assured wherever home is for the night. Use the other side to protect and store all the gear on dry ground or our Ground Cloth if moisture is a concern. The Half Insert is also an excellent option for separating muddy gear from slightly cleaner sleep systems or clothes. UltaMid 4 Tent, Ultralight Stake Kit, and UltaMid Carbon Fiber Tent Pole sold separately.

Awesome product!
Amaizing product, i just wished it was cheaper and included a repair kit, and the dcf bag came a little bit scratched xD But overall awesome!!
Cramped
We used this on a 9-day bikepacking trip in southeast Australia. Given the bugs, spiders and leeches, we definitely needed the insert. The poor soul nearest the mesh may as well be using a bivy as the insert is so cramped the mesh is in your face when facing away from the center pole or sleeping in your back. Two Thermarests span the width of the footprint without any room to spare. Having used this type of tent for years, they are fabulous and spacious without the insert. The overall recommendation for users is to use this tent without this insert or opt for the full insert so the two occupants can sleep either side of the center pole.

Easy peasy tight and spacious
I love my new 1/2 insert. I’m hiking solo and didn’t want the extra bulk of the full insert with floor.
Set up is fast and the area inside is spacious! I love that all my gear will now be stowed inside the tent!
