This cuben fiber ultralight backpack is frameless with internal stays is specifically designed for mountain hiking, backpacking, and long-distance hiking but is also highly suitable for day-hikers, thru-hikers, section-hikers, climbers, distance cyclists or campers with pack loads under 35 pounds.
The Windrider Southwest is constructed from our rip-stop Cuben Fiber/Polyester hybrid material which is durable, lightweight, and waterproof. HMG Porter/Expedition Pack
The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Porter is constructed out of HMG's proprietary Cuben Fiber/Polyester material that provides the ultimate in durability, protection, and strength. This frameless pack boasts a 3400 cu/in capacity and clocks in at an impressive 26.5 oz.
With a multitude of accessories and attachment points, the Porter gives packrafters, hikers, and mountaineers a variety of options allowing for trip-specific customization. The HMG Porter’s streamlined design features a wrap-around hip belt that keeps the pack snug and allows the pack load to rest on hips rather than shoulders; compression straps to help stabilize the load; and external attachment points that allow hikers to lash on additional gear and to accept a variety of pack accessories.
Other features of this ultralight large-capacity backpack include a roll-top closure system, side and top compression, an adjustable sternum strap, and a double-reinforced bottom. As with all HMG packs, the Porter does not require a pack cover for rain protection.

The Stuff Pack is a unique addition to the HMG pack line. Easily collapsible and packable, it weighs a mere 3.2 oz. and holds 1600 cubic inches of volume. A favorite go-to day pack, one-day summit pack, or around town carry-all, this pack is a true problem solver.
The Stuff Pack’s streamlined design features lightweight shoulder straps and a roll-top closure system to keep contents secure and protected from the elements. The Stuff Pack is constructed using CF11 Cuben Fiber. As with all HMG packs, the HMG Stuff Pack is water resistant.
